This one is for all you little head-bangers out there.
So, there I am, sitting at the bar enjoying my Miller High Life & good conversation with a very sweet young lady(30ish yrs. old). We were talking about hobbies & I told her I liked photography & some how this website was mentioned & how I like to have these weekly challenges. I mentioned some of the previous album choices. A couple she recalled & a few she had no clue about. Starting to see an age gap here! Then some guy overhearing this conversation says, "Dude, you gotta do Iron Maiden!" This fine young lady says, "Oh yea, they are just bitchin'!" I said that I didn't consider Iron Maiden to be classic rock. Then he goes over to the juke box & plugs in some Iron Maiden songs. As he is walking back, he starts the head gyrations & playing air guitar. You know it! You've seen it! Straight out of "Wayne's World". Then, the sweet young lady I was conversing with gets up & plays along! That's when I knew I was out of my element.:( They wound up leaving the bar together & once again I was left to drink my beer in quiet solitude. So, after thinking about it & checking it out on the internet. I discovered that Iron Maiden's third album, "The Number of the Beast", was released in 1982! So, I guess 26 years could be considered classic. Damn, I'm getting old!
I really know nothing about this band. I thought I would give it a shot though. So if anyone would care to add any stories or personal experiences feel free. I would like to hear them.
