Thanks to you both! I am LOVING it!! I have been shooting with a very inferior camera. The difference is like night and day. It is going to be bad for my photography addiction :)

Oh...and I am already coveting all of the other lenses etc that go with it!

Congratulations!!! What were you shooting with before? If it was not a DSLR, then you could have fooled me. You've shown us some excellent shots recently. Welcome to the wonderful world of Nikon. Having looked at the kind of work you do, I would highly recommend both the 50mm f/1.8 and the 105mm VR f/2.8 for portrait work.

Oh, and nice picture of your dog. :D
