It is spring time in Las Vegas. It has been so warm here. I love it. My Peach tree is also flowering. What do you think of this pictures Color, lighting, and Composition?

rlarsen,

Remember, much of Critique is "what we like, or don't," so if I were to say the vertical alignment of these blossoms might be more interesting diagonally positioned, it's what I prefer, not that this isn't OK. Same with lighting: I love the look of Sun-on-bloom, which seems to give better brighter color and some interesting stamen/pistil shadows. It's good that you kept all the blooms of this group inside frame, and the little touch of blue sky works.

Each of your bloom shots seems a little less sharp than others you've shown. If you're handholding these at 1/60th/sec., if it's particularly windy, you might get better focus with a good tripod (I know that might be tough for a tree blossom). Again, Sun will help a lot, too.

Jiminy, I took this picture today after your comments. Do you think this setup is better?

rlarsen,

Better color, better detail, almost all flower filling the frame. Yes, for a blossom shot, it seems so much better to me. The original is a good photo, and I believe this one is better. You could use all these in a group and please a wide range of viewers.
