I was in too much of a hurry to edit them this morning, but I think it might just need a bit of brightening. :] So I'd like to know what you guys think, but please don't be too harsh. I think this one is one of the better ones of the set.

(if you look at the set the one in the dark was just a quick shot when I found out it was snowing, so I know it sucks :D)

It's a very nice image. Brightening it to help bring out the colors in the flowers will help it a lot. A general rule of thumb for shooting in snow is to set your Exposure Bias (EV) to +1 or so, this way the camera overexposes by a stop, brightening up your image when you take it. Here's a thread (http://digital-photography-school.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12452#post110947) that discusses this more.

I like this photo...I wish I was seeing flowers like that! Of course, they would be under about a foot of snow right now. :p

I think it'll be great once you brighten it up a skosh.

i live in mississippi too.....although quite a bit south of you.....and what an amazing winter we've had so far.....it makes me wonder about all this global warming business.....

your instincts are correct about it being underexposed and the advice i would have offered about exposing for snow scenes has already been given....but, then again.....how many times will it be snowing here, eh?....

your framing is a little tight....i don't know how large the original frame was....but, if there was more room around the bottom you would have the whole of your subject visible....

thanks for sharing an unusual sight....
