I did try it with cropping out the black/red at the top but then it just seemed to blah. I really like this pic but was looking for any ideas on improvements. thanks!

jessicalynn, Welcome
If you took the black/red out, yes, there's just an arch of edge left. If you were to reshoot, and arrange to have reflected in the front of the bubble (and/or the sides), either yourself, or a decorative poster, or a view through a window, you might go well past blah. If you think about it, the bubble by itself is water. We've all seen water: you reflected in it would be new!

jessicalynn,
Nice shot of the bubble, as JC suggested something reflecting in the bubble would be more interesting. I am curious to know how you created this bubble and what is that in background?

Actually I did the DIY light box and purchased a 1000w halogen light (2 500w on a tripod from sears). the only problem was that I used the bulbs it came with and they have a yellow tint. I plan on getting the daylight bulbs for the more white light soon.
So I got the kids bubbles and caught one on the wand then held it by the top of the light box. The red in the background is actually the light stand. lol that's why there is 2 lights on the top of the bubble, I had them set up over the top of the light box.
