I am looking for a cheapish, durable camera to leave at my doggy daycare business for the employees to take photos of the dogs in action to post on the blog.

Basically, I want:

Under $300
Quick to startup and be ready to take photos
Not much delay between taking shots
Easy for novices to use, just a point and shoot with simple controls
Durable, since it will be used by a few different people

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance,
Sarah

How about an s5200/s5600 if you can find one?
switch on and by the time you have lifted it to your face its ready to shoot, about 1 second between shots, very low shutter lag, lens is non moving on the outside so its harder to break, 4x AA alkaline batteries are good for ~700 shots, has full auto and the option of continuous focus.

I am biased though as I bought one new recently for $148 au.
