You have got to have a look at this lens. People are guessing as to how much it weights and the cost of this monster.

Is that a handle on top of the lens? Or is that where they attach it to the crane?

Good luck getting that thru airport security.

Hope this goes through for ya, cause it shows someone holding the lens.

I'd like to see the tripod that can support that thing.
Wonder if it has a quick release, haha.

Wow Merlyn! That lens is gigantic! I'd have to go to a gym for a year before I could use that thing for any amount of time... or even mount it on my camera for that matter ;)

This HAS to be an early April Fools joke!!!!!!!!!!
Mines is bigger.
They are little off for a april fools joke.
33lbs... hmmm better start going to a gym.
Edit I have family members that would shell out the cash for this lens.
It's a papparazi's dream

but I just can't believe it's THAT big. It really does look like a joke (though too early for April Fool's!)

That's a rather large lens. But it's still more than 500 lbs lighter than this Carl Zeiss’ 1700 f/4. http://www.dpreview.com/news/0610/06100101zeiss1700f4.asp
And that's not a Canon digital rebel attached to the rear of it, It's a Hasselblad 6x6.

I have no desire to own that monster!
Why not? You could use the Eiffel tower as a tripod.

April Fools?
Is there anywhere you can get ahold of lenses over 1,000mm? I haven't seen anything about them anywhere except on some old pentax gear.
