This photo was shot in a light tent with out much light to cut the light glares . The glass is a bottle stopper . I was shooting to get the flower that was reflected in the glass . A 8 sec ex is all my camera can do . I used manual settings & #4+#2 close up filters . Any advice would be great . I was shooting glass ,but sort of got into the water droplets & am just now getting back into the glass for a while .

Couple different things. First it does not look to be in very good focus. secondly there are spots in the photo. time to do some cleaning. third I would have used a wider aperture to get a more narrow DOF. fourth that big bright area in the top right corner is distracting as well as the strong black line running from thee bottom right corner.

Thanks for your suggestions , the focus ,I am working on that ,it is a 1 1/2 " round ball of glass that I am shooting through , so not sure if I can get it any sharper , and the spots that you see are bubbles in the glass , so they can not be cleaned . I tried the wider A but it seemes to be less in focus when shooting through the glass ball . I could crop off the bright area , it is the outside edge of the glass ball that does not reflect the photo I placed behind it .the dark area could be cropped too it is a part of the back ground . Was wondering if anyone else shoots through thick glass like this , it does give a distorted look ,more on the abstract line ,or photo art than straight shooting .

there are some spots on the bottom right hand corner of the picture outside of the glass ball. I am pretty sure it is either on the filters the lens or your sensor.

Thanks Rex , I know what spots you are refurin g to ,I should have cropped them off .:o I used the same back ground as i has used for my water droplets & there are some splatter marks on the back drop . Where I play with water a lot I am always cleaning my lenses , nothing on them .I think it is just the back drop , hope it is not the sensor .
