I took this shot indoors with a tripod using a Rebel XTi and a Sigma 70-300 DG APO Macro lens.

I'd really appreciate critiques regarding composition, lighting, and post-processing. I've only modified white balance, adjusted curves, and desaturated some colors to make the yellow flower pop more.

Hi reidgilman:
I think that if you could get the complete flower, the photo will improve, also will look for not getting in the frame other green stems (Or in the other case, include them and try to get the flower in some intersection of the rule of thirds). I like what you did about desaturating other colors, but I think you left the yellow a little bit to bright. That's all I can think.
