Hi,
While walking through the downtown of my city, I saw this mural , got me camera out, set the auto bracketing and took 3 shots using tripod. I have user Photomatix to create this HDR, I am very happy with the results since being my ever first HDR. I used photoshop CS2 also to add some vignette effect.
Let me know how does it look, here is the link below

rbashir,

Would you show the original so we can tell how much change you created? I'm curious if the 'glow' around the window is in original. It looks detailed and saturated, good for a mural. Have you done other HDR yet?

The actual image does not have the glow around the windows, its been added to be the picture during HDR processing. I have added another link to the original message of my other HRD that I worked on, you can also see the glow around the building edges. Its really fun to create HDR images. I am still experimenting and learning.

rbashir,

Endless combinations mean we will all be learning; good to see experiments. The glow is eye-catching; is it what you hoped HDR would produce? Others find the glow or 'haloing' to be a sign of an over-contrasted layer, drawing attention to the processing. If it's what you wanted, I say go for it.

What I have noticed when shooting HDR images, the most realistic eye grabbing pictures are ones that have a lot of dynamic range such as landscape or sunset pictures. This image could have easily been reproduced using one layer for Hue / Saturation and another layer using the dodge tool and some clever masking to create the halo effect. I like the contrast against the building and the halo around the mural good work. Try taking a picture of a sunset against some buildings in the forground next time. If you place the sun behind the building you will get a halo effect around the outside of the building edges at least when using photomatrix. Adobe Photoshops HDR processing is more realsitic I feel but Photomatrix makes some images with great pop but, can look a little fake sometimes.
