Ok, so this was in the DPS Flickr group, and the person was essentially pimping their own website, but I found it pretty interesting actually, so I thought I'd put the link (http://joelmertz.net/sus.htm) up here. I may actually go out and try to find these things. Anyways, the 10 things to take pictures of are:
A security camera
Something under construction
Someone selling something
Something with graffiti
The tallest building you can find
A person commuting on something that's not motorized
People at a bus stop
An interesting sign or symbol
A bird or animal
A piece of litter Thought it might be a fun challenge for people living in cities who are always looking for things to photograph. :)

I don't know if this counts or not, but I took one this evening that has a security camera in it. The reason I took the picture was because the moon had come out really early and was big and bright, and I thought it would look good framed near this tall building. There just happened to be a security camera on an upper ledge of the building.

Edit: Oooo. It does count, because this IS the tallest building in the town I live in. :)

I may give this one a whirl, and its gonna be a hard one! I live on a farm just outside of a town of about 500 people. The tallest building in town is a grain elevator... then I think there is one three story home. Not a huge town - no busses, no graffiti, and only one store. I may have to take most of the shots in the closest city (20 minutes away)...

Does it count if it's not MY city?
This is from Dallas ... I believe it's the Bank of America building.

How does this SUS thread work? Is it a game or purely a sharing site?
Thank you,

I figured it to be a little mini-challenge to yourself. Participate if you want, find the items on the list. :) I finally got a few of my own shots. The actual site itself, well, I have no idea what they're using the pictures for, which is why I put it up in the challenges rather than just a link to the site in general chat :p

I'll have to add some, I could probably take a picture of all things on that list, standing from one spot I think. A mini-challenge within the larger.
This will be a fun challenge.
Don't have many photos here, but a couple from New Zealand

I recognize that, KodiakStar, it's the Majestic Centre in Wellington :p
You know, I have probably half of the pictures that I keep meaning to post to this thread, but I'm still uploading pictures from other things (I like to limit my uploads to 10-15 per day :p). I'll post in this thread soon. I thought it was a cool idea. :)

I finally get to add pictures!!! I got unlazy and went downtown in Saint Louis to get some shots.

There's a wall on the riverfront that painted over about every week or two. I was able to get the redbirds.

This is the new (about 5 years ago) courthouse. I think it's the tallest building in the STL. I didn't know if the Arch counted as a building.

Way to go Renestl :D That was why this idea appealed to me, getting out of the house and getting "unlazy" ;)
OK-I live in Saudi Arabia and cannot take photographs in public in the city or Riyadh-where I live.
However, my house and work, is inside the Diplomatic Quarter (DQ), a mini city in its own right. All my photography comes from inside the DQ so here is a sign that I really love. It's using Arabic caligraphy to represent a company that exports dates-hence the palm shape.

In DC you can hardly go anywhere without seeing something that is under construction. In fact, I can honestly say that at ANY point in time, you can find at least one of the monuments under construction:
