For some reason it has taken me forever to get a decent dunk shot. My autofocus always made them blurry. I think I did better this time.

if blurred shots was your problem in your earlier attempts, then you've made great improvement in this one!

your main subject (player #3) seems to be well-focused, while the background (crowd) was sufficiently blurred.

now, i'm not sure if it's me, or the monitor i'm using, but it appears as if the shot is a bit underexposed.

I think that if the exposure was pushed any more, you would lose a lot of detail on the white outfit. However, the curves tool would help make the picture brighter without ruining the top end.

Autofocus might be struggling to keep up with the pace of the game. If there is a lot of action going on round the hoop you could try manually focusing at the right distance and leaving it set there. You'll certainly miss some other shots but have more chance of getting a dunk as sharp as possible.

I thought of doing that wulf, I feel I would miss too many other shots. The way I got this one was to set the AF to only use the center point and I just kept that on the player the whole way to the basket.

As for the exposure, I'm al ready pushing it a lot while taking the pictures. I have to shoot at ISO 1600, f/1.8 or f/2.0, and a shutter speed of 1/250 or 1/320 depending. Lighting in D2 college gyms is not the best. I will try my hand at some more post processing though, see what I can do.
