i took this picture a few years ago in memphis with my d70 not sure on what iso i used been to long but i really like the picture but want to possible make the water pop out more?? any ideas?:confused:

Here's what I came up with by just adjusting the Levels and some brightness and color saturation. The biggest problem I had was the glaring of the white wall in the background.

I must admit I am a big cropper but believe that the real focus of the photo is important. I love the improvements below and might go ahead and crop out the sidewalk just to the bottom of the black rim. It puts a finishing touch on the photo. Hate losing the bird but with him gone you really don't miss him.
Pawinki I agree with you that it might be a good idea to do some cropping in this picture...the bright building in the back is too much of a distraction, not to mention the tree trunk...here's what I'd do:

Now I think the focus is clearly on the fountain. ?

Crop or not, there is a lot of noise in the darkened versions, which I think is going to be pretty unavoidable. I'm guessing the initial shot was taken at a higher ISO judging by the stop-motion water suggesting a fast shutter speed, but still an overall bright picture.
You can see the noise in the original, so trying to bring anything out, unfortunately is going to make it worse.
