I live in a beautiful city but today I spotted this car park which didn't look so pretty. I took this picture and my father commented it looks like a ghetto! So I converted this to black and white to make it look even more like a ghetto. I like the result, but I'd like to know what you think about the contrast in this picture and what do you think about the composition? Would you have taken it more to the left or right or .... ? Thanks!

Hi steffievdakker:
About your questions I would take it a little bit more to the left so you could catch the complete front view of the first car. The diagonal line you got that comes from the first car to the last one is great for composition as it makes the eye navigate through the entire photo. What it bothers to me is the last horizontal van that it's at the end because when you looking through the diagonal line I mentioned when you arrive at the end of the photo "BAM" you get a harsh stop by that car.
About the contrast I like the hard contrast you got and also the detail.
For me its a great shot. Maybe you can blur the last white ban just to reduce the stop feeling when you arrive there.
Thanks for sharing it! Great job!

I agree need more on the front and less on the back. The back van is too white had to open a larger version of this picture to figure out what it was. Instead of full black and white it maybe be neat to play with it to give it more of a vintage feel with gold sepia type feeling. Neat composition with cars parked like that though.

You may also want to vary your perspective by shooting from other than eye level. Good advice and comments provided by others here too. I like the harsh, contrasty look.

Can I just say that here in Serbia that would be the rich neighborhood. All the cars look new and expensive, not to mention clean!
