I am enrolled at a night time class in digital photography. this was my first attempt at having a long shutter speed. I need to submit 4 photos and I don't know why i want this to be one..probably nostalgic and the long shutter speed. I have a few tutorials at college about post processing but i am no way a wizard when it comes to photoshop, if anyone can give me tips on how to make this a better picture, i.e. cropping, photoshopping it to make it look more dramatic i would be greatful..thanks for looking.

I really like the colors and the stars of light in this picture, but I have a question for you, what do you consider to be the subject of this picture, if you had to pick one thing?

snappygal, Welcome

From Flickr:

What is EXIF data?

"Almost all new digital cameras save JPEG (jpg) files with EXIF (Exchangeable Image File) data. Camera settings and scene information are recorded by the camera into the image file. Examples of stored information are shutter speed, date and time, focal length, exposure compensation, metering pattern and if a flash was used."

thanks for a good presentation in posting.....

this is a fairly high drama image as it is.....i had a quick hand of it in post using curves which gave your yellows a bit more punch as well as upping the contrast of the trees and grass.....maybe, that is a direction for you to take.....

i'd love to see what you come up with on your own....

Hi, It wasn't really aimed at a particular subject but at the landscape more than anything. but if pressed, the tree perhaps? or the light bursts on the street lamps. Perhaps cropping it to the lampshades might be advised? Thanks for critique thou :)
