First outdoor attempt of using my new macro lens

Macro shot of the in Latin called Taraxacum spec. I don't think in general this flower is special but when it's close to it's end somehting nice shows, white and soft....
I'm very happy with this shot as the color, DOF and focus turned out real good IMO.

Processing: a tiny bit of sharpening

Erik,

This is quite beautiful. The thing-a-ma-jig at the 2 o'clock position is my only distraction. Powerful choice of contrast with subject and background, clearly focused and nice DOF.

Hi Erik Kuipers:
It's a nice macro photo. I like the detail, sharpness, background color and DOF is nice. Maybe you can get rid out of that orange spot next to your main subject just to bring more attention on it. I hoped you gave us more specific questions about the critique you wanted as stated for the critique rules.
Nice photo. Thanks for sharing it!
