This looked great to the eye, but in Cam, I feel it lacks in composition.
How could this have been improved.
Thanks,
KRIS

KRIS,

A few housekeeping items: Please include EXIF with your postings and also please put the photo into the thread. There are instructions in the critique section for how to do that. Thanks.

The image has some distortion issues on my monitor; never-the-less, the first thing that came to mind is "what did you intend to be the subject?" The terraced public park area has extraordinary lines that seem to be leading to a vista of the city that is blocked by trees. So, first decide upon your primary subject, then try different angles. I have seen wonderful photos that are just about the lines. I guess a rule of thumb should always be to ponder a shot before you take it...this is my subject and then go for it.

I think its very soft....focus is not there. The colors are nice and vivd but also a bust scene. Maybe a tighter shot on one or two of the areas in the shot.
I do like the lines and the location but think it should be shot as a set and not one entire image.
The thing I cant get past is the fact its not in focus.
A blurred or out of focus shot sometimes is the intent and but not usually this type of shot.
If that was your intent then glad you like it. Thats what's important. the only thing about comp I can say is maybe move around to other areas and look at different angles.
