I found a bunch of once-electric-poles while wandering trough a camping place, but this was a bit separted from the most. This is my first try in black&white, also the shot might be a little bit boring, I don't know really know. I am open to your comments. :D

I like the tones and the balance of sky to ground.
The clouds seem to be a bit blown out, though.
The one thing that hit me is the "overlap" of the post in the foreground with the pole in the background. I would have preferred if there was some space between them.
This is a neat composition, but I'm not really sure what story it tells - is there one?

Hi, I'm not quite sure what do you mean about the overlap. If you mean the concrete block and the wooden pole, they are physically attached actually.
There is a story actually. To my best knowledge, it was used to hold the electric wires that were providing power to a nearby village, but the village outgrew the capacity of the wires (or something similar :)) and the wires were moved to a different location, but the supporting poles were left there.

dande,
To your question: it's hard to be honest to that point, to say that's a little boring. Some will find its simple subject, composition and b/w treatment well done. I'd like to think you could find a view, or time of day, or angle that gave something more to what is potentially a boring subject. It's a challenge, for certain.
Color is better, but has same potential.
