i hope this is in the right section
this was taken at Zilker Botanical gardens in Austin Tx. I didn't notice the bee until I got home! this was cropped in photoshop, and resized to post in fotosizer, no other adjustments have been made. EXIF 10MP shutter speed 1/2000 sec aperture priority f /5.6 ISO 1600 focal length 36mm camera Rebel xs w/ EF-S 18-55mm No Flash outside, slightly overcast about 2pm

Thank you .. I don't really know yet what to ask for as far as critiquing my post. I am new to photography and i just bought my dlsr last week.
i tried to get that shadow out but couldn't get the crop right .. and i'm not familiar enough with PS yet to work on it.

The image looks a bit noisy, which is very apparent on the glassy surface of the water. I think you would have been better off with a slower shutter speed and a lower ISO setting although, it might be better still to crop in much closer. At the moment the bee is more of a speck than a subject in the image.
