
This is what I did (Lightroom):
1. Straighten
2. Crop
3. Grayscale
4. Curves to achieve high contrast
5. Tint almost all the way towards Magenta (to alleviate the exagerated contrast and to bring back the eyes, which resulted too dark)
6. Give a cool color cast to the highlights
7. Give a warm color cast to the shadows
8. Added some vignette to subdue the window which was too bright and distracting
9. Tried to keep the grain/noise in the photo
Unfortunately, there are very noticeable signs from recompression and blowing up resulting from the tighter focus.
