I find GroupShot easier for such composites. Just be careful not to allow any body parts to overlap or you will end up with some interesting anatomical appendages. The program was initially intended to replace "heads" in group photos where someone had blinked or otherwise made the photo unuseable. Those more skilled in Photoshop can do wonders with layers but it may take longer. I look forward to seeing your results.
