I like the second one better than the first because of the angle and eye level are more interesting. In the first one it looks like we are 'looking down on her' almost making fun of her. In the second one there is more of a 'looking up' the way we would as a little kid looking at grandma.

I the top one there is way too much headroom and we don't need to see her pants at all, in the bottom too much empty space on the right.


With older people, hands, eyes, smiles, wrinkles are all wonderful material, but you have to be careful that the lighting is flattering and that we see them in a loving way, not a superior way.
