really interesting situation and great reflection in the water! I have to agree that I miss something while looking at this picture and I think that the issue is in the angle from which the picture was taken. Maybe, it would look better if you got a little lower wit your camera, even to the level as if you were laying on your stomach but also being able to capture the reflection in the water - I think this way a picture would have a greater impact. Furthermore, I would definitely do extra work in the post-processing: I see black spots (dirt on a lense?) and I think that the shirt of the man takes too much attention and doesn't have enough details - I would bring down the highlights on it.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree, it really felt like an interesting situation and I think I got a bit nervous to catch the shot in time and also to not get noticed by them. I also see what you mean about the blown-out shirt, it really is distracting. I'll see if I can figure that out in photoshop.

Nice photo, but i "FEEL" when looking at it is, too much empty space.. My eyes tend to scan the background more than the subject. father and son seems to get lost in the scene. Perhaps considering the angle and composition next time.

I definitely missed getting the right angle/composition. It's actually good to know that you guys agree. I'll try and do better next time.
