Why would you use more ? That is bogus advice. Use less. The camera will capture it all and then you have to fix it. Best advice, use a professional makeup artist. All you need is a concealer and a light touch to smooth out skin tones. Also watch for matching face to chest, arms, etc. Never let the model do her makeup, they will favor what they think is best which generally isn't. you are the photographer, stay in control.
