Yeah, I think full Auto is the way to go if you are new at this. Get in close to a lot of people so you can capture their faces. Keep your shots as simple as you can, and if you pose anyone, make sure the backgrounds are not cluttered. Practice so you don't fumble around too much. Do you have any post processing software?
