Duplicated layer - Multiply to bring out colors
There wass till too much white for me so I used the dropper tool and picked a color on the owl and then painted a portion of the owl at 30% opacity.
Made the eyes a bit bigger by using the warp tool
Gave it a vignette and then increased the contrast and darkness
