I am also thinking that a straight black and white would be more interesting because of the silver surfaces. I think the negative space at the top doesn't help instead it hurts.

for me it is that there is so much to look at in the picture that my eye looks at nothing. there also seems to be too much space around the machine. it's off center, but not in an interesting sort of way. i like the colors though.

thank you both for your critique, i have taken and used your advice while shooting and editing other photos, and i am much happier with the results thank you!
