Default Strong B&W conversion

I took this photo at home and decided to intensify the light from the window behind to increase the contrast and create this image in black and white.

Here is the original:

Camera: Canon EOS 500D
Lens: EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
Exposure: 1/100 at f/5.0
Focal Lenght: 40mm
ISO: ISO 100

And here is the developed image from Lightroom:

Develop settings:

Treatment: Grayscale

Exposure: +1.52
Recovery: 14
Fill Light: 31
Blacks: 9

Brightness: +35
Contrast: +43

Clarity: +15

Point Curve: Strong Contrast

Sharpening: 47
Radius: 1.0
Detail: 25

I'm a beginner and would really appreciate comments.
