Although fixed lens, this camera seems like an all rounder nice camera - especially with the manual focus ring on it!

My question was - can anyone here recommend the camera? Or also - does anyone here use this camera in a professional sense for news photo journalism, wedding photography and such?

Just curious to see if this camera still holds up generally? Thanks!
hI,

Probably a bit late for your query, but my DSCR1 is just excellent. The lens is superb and wide angle at 24mm just great for landscape work. Even if the long end is limited to 120mm I find that the resolution with the lens and CMOS sensor allows close cropping post-shooting to get good specific detail. The "quirky" twisting screen is very versatile.

Wouldn't part with it and won't be going back to the old SLR route with lens changing etc.

Hope you bought one?
