That's more the idea that I see. Lay the original eyes over the images, convert them to B&W, (assuming you have enough texture in the eyeball) and try changing the layer style to overlay.
You could also add curvature to the screen grabs so they follow the convexity of the eyeballs. A lens distortion would take care of that.
Since the eyes are the focus. I would crop it in a lot tighter, and get really detailed focus on the transformation of the eyeballs themselves. I think the effect would actually be a lot stronger if it was highly detailed and included specular highlights and retained some texture from the iris.
Great idea by the way.
Also, it occurs to me you might want to try looking slightly down and off camera. That would give it a creepy "distracted" feeling.
