I love the D40.
After upgrading to the D90, my D40 has become my everyday-use "Point and Shoot".
It's smaller and easier to carry around, and I find myself more comfortable and at ease when I hold it. The lack of focus points never really bothered me much, and I always like to travel light, so I never carry around too many lenses with me anyway.
Above all else, I've grown attached to my D40.
