After seing this video
YouTube - Strobist Technique: Cross-lighting with Wireless Strobes , I found the result quite promising, being able to black out the background. I have a SB600 and on camera flash(D90); could I still be able to get the desired effect, or does the lighting has to be as shown in the video?
Is there an actual technique to blackout the background like shown using a flash?
Last but not least, I have been wondering how the white balance works, when shooting in broad day light using a flash: why do we need to set the WB on Flashlight and the day light is not taken into account?
