I'm Rachel, known to many of my friends as Sparks (a nickname I picked up as a kid, which has stuck). By day, I'm a software engineer working on an instant messaging package; outside of work, I ride horses (English-style, hunter/jumper), I write (science fiction and fantasy), and I take photos.
I've recently moved up to a digital SLR and gotten a bit more serious about the photography. I've also begun taking some local photography courses, and hanging out in the Flickr groups like our own DPS here.
