In addition to the above, I would have found a clean (or cleaner) wall to shoot with as a background, or composed the shot with a shallow depth of field so that we couldn't read the writing. While perhaps more interesting than a plain brick wall (and way less cliche), I keep reading the graffiti and not paying attention to the girl.
