READ ALL of the first post. Only the first shot in the post is hand held. Others on the first post are LONG lenses, heavy tripod and shot with the timer. Lens I used on the first hand held shot was an 18-250mm
image stabilized Sigma lens. I shoot left eyed and rest the camera on my left shoulder when I need as steady of a shot as I can get hand held. Google "Joe McNally da grip" or see it on this youtube video:

"Da grip" works quite well if you can shoot left eyed.. Easy for me because I shoot that way all the time..
