My mother's house has been growing moldy for a while now. She realized that she needed to do something when she saw some mold growing on the front of her kitchen cabinets! She purchased a large de-humidifier and has been dumping the collector at least twice a day for about a month. You can tell a huge difference in the humidity of the house now, and the mold is no longer coming back.
Of course, if you don't want to fiddle with a de-humidifier, moving might be your best option!
