Nicole, I was getting to the point where I thought of sending you a pm, but...

GOAL: Make it look abstract and textured.

What I did (in PSP XI):
-Crop
-Desaturated 91%
-Unsharp mask (radius 75, strength 30)
-Histogram midtones adjustment (-50)
-Colorized
-3 distortion effects applied: spiky halo, fish-eye distortion, and twirl
