Default Spirals

Your first image is very interesting. It is a collection of ellipses, each one slight rotated with respect to the previous one. You will notice that in places the ellipses bunch together, giving the general appearance of two spiral arms unwinding from the centre. It looks like a spiral galaxy! That's no coincidence. In fact, spiral galaxies take their form from the fact the elliptical orbits of the stars are organized precisely in this way. Isn't that fun?
