It looks like the Fuji might use a 38mm filter. I couldn't confirm what was said in this post.

On film cameras the circle with the slash mark use to indicate Filter size, and the diameter of the lens is 38mm. There is no mention of a filter in the Manual.
Other sites, however, say that the s8000 doesn't have filter threads though. So if you can get to a camera store that might let you check and see if a filter will actually go on, that might be your best option.
