How many millions of monitors are there around the world? How many have been calibrated to a consistent standard? If you put your pictures on the web, you have to accept that others will see them in different colours - even if they have a calibrated monitor, what about the other distractions (lighting, colours and clutter in the surrounding environment) that will affect perception?
