Vignette, eh? While I think I have an idea of what you're talking about, I'm not quite sure how to do it myself. In Gimp. Although I'd love to have PS, Gimp is my only option right now.

I hear you on the leaning monument. I didn't really notice it until a couple of you pointed it out. THAT, I'm pretty sure I know how to fix in Gimp. As for the crop, I did do a tighter crop in the BW one in my Flickr set, but didn't want to post all BW one here. I do like the tighter crop better.

As for the last image... "perfect composition"? Where's the blushing smiley? Not bad for a shot I took with my camera bag over one shoulder, a step ladder over the other, a bag of towels in the one hand (since it had rained and I knew no one else would remember), holding an umbrella over my head with my chin, while holding camera in the other hand. I'm very happy with it too.

Unfortunately, Gimp is all I have. I would love to buy PS, but it's not in the budget right now.

I admit to having a few "Why on earth did I agree to this??" moments. The first picture is by far my favorite.

I definitely took my share of traditional, posed shots (with parents, wedding party, etc), but much prefer these less obvious ones. Thanks for looking!

I DON'T THE ADVICE. Really. Maybe it should be moved?? I was kind of confused as where to put this thread in the first place. While it's nice to hear what people liked, I am eager to learn what I could/should have done better/differently. I want to improve should the opportunity come up again.

Again, I don't mind the critiques. Should this thread be moved? I don't want to break any rules!
If you want critique then you can ask the mods to move it to the critique section...hope this helps
