I have taken into consideration some of your comments but unfortunately here in Brunei (South East Asia region) the weather has not been kind, we are in the middle of the wet season (monsoon). So instead of going back to the location I went through the files to see if I took any extra shot of the same spot, found one of the same view just a different angle and tried to incorporate some of your suggestions into it. I didn't have time to convert the image to black&white yet... none the less here are the shots.
Equally, I have the same image from above and have cropped it a bit more with less vibrant colours
