Default Assignment: A Mistake

This is my first post here so it is questionable as to if I should start with the "mistake" posting.

Here it is anyway... I shot this in April of this year (2009) at a girl's softball practice. It was the first time I really messed with a zoom lens of any kind. I had mainly used a 50mm up to that point. Also, it was the first time I shot any real action and the first time experiencing the horrid lighting at local fields. Plus, being practice they didn't turn on the lights until they absolutely had to do so.

My mistake...I don't remember exactly, just that it was a goof up on my part. I was zoomed in too far, the composition was off, I was fighting lighting, shooting at IS0 1600 and the white balance was very bad. The irony is that I like the result and the player loved it. Then I took it into ACR and fixed it up a bit. I definitely like it now, even as a huge goof.
