There are a lot of times where I feel like I've "lost it" Because while I'm not super surprised when a shot turns out how I want, I'm still disappointed when it seems like nothing is turning out how I want, made worse by the fact that I know I can do it.

I think that I felt that I "got it" once I started experimenting with things and had them turn out. For example, when I could actually take decent smoke shots. That became an "I got it" time for that sort of technique. But yeah, for me, the feeling of "I got it" tends to build more when I accomplish some sort of goal that I set myself. Not necessarily a percentage of shots that turn out right, but knowing that I can do X, Y, or Z.
