First I love the shot but I do see that something is missing. Nearly every branch draws the eyed up and to the right of the shot into... Nothing. I was in the middle of writing something then it hit me. Did you shoot this about mid-day? If so then my recommendation would be to go back, if possible and shoot it in the first or last hours of the day. That contrast would be a very nice counterpoint to the photo. Also, plop yourself down in that water like Tvoelcker hinted for that stand out moment.
Remember that's just my 2 cents and that's about all I'm willing to pay someone for listening to my advice
