Well, I disagree to some extent...if you can type the question here, you can type it into a search engine...
HOWEVER;
I do see a major advantage to asking such questions here as opposed to a search engine....much of what you find online is single perspective...no discussion, just "I say so". Here you will get a discussion on the topic (or hijacked).
I also have to say I do not like the search function on here...Maybe I just have not worked with it enough, but I get tons or very marginally related (if at all) returns...
An index of previous "common discussions" seems like a good solution. Get the collection together and list it as a sticky FAQ post would be my recommendation.
