Hi. First post. Actually, this picture represents a great many firsts: first post, first photo assignment, first time sharing photos specifically with strangers , first use of flickr (pretty easy with the instructions from the sticky thread), first shot taken with a (improvised... napkins) monochromatic background to isolate subjects, first attempt at (very rudimentary) post processing using GIMP (looks alright on my cheap laptop screen which likely means it looks like plastic neon hell on a decent screen), first use of tripod for still life, first time to peel an entire orange in one go, etc.
Some of the above firsts were more successful than others, but all have been a learning experience. This site's got "school" right in the name, so that must be the idea, eh?
