I did say it wasn't anything anyone had said, just a feeling I have myself, plus the way people aspire to a dslr even if they don't have one. And of course that I myself desire one but can most likely never have one. Not even for financial reasons so no winning the lottery dreams, just that my arthritis means that even my Mum's better p+s with a 10x optical zoom is too heavy for me

but I shall just resolve to be the best I can with what I have and be happy that I can even have this hobby including computer manipulation of images which was not available in the past.
Still, the idea of a p+s area in equipment where the 25-30% of us who use them can chat about their unique problems and advantages might be a good idea, just not a place to put all the p+s images.
I know it's the photographer not the equipment, but sometimes I would like to a be able to take a fantastic pic of the moon or something tiny or that's not so grainy etc. And also that I'm not sure I could ever sell pix taken with a p+s [landscapes etc in an art gallery I mean, obviously not portraits or weddings] even if they were good in other ways. Or am I wrong in this concern?
