I got my D40 a little over a year and I like it. It's my first DSLR.
One of my complaints is the lack of auto bracketing shots for HDR. I work with what I have and do it manually.
Another is no commander mode for off camera speedlights. It bothers me to have a sync cord connecting to the speedlight.The cord does get in the way at times. Hopefully I will be getting the radiopoppers Jrx to solve that problem.

All in all I do like D40. It's a great camera for me the beginner.
