Great pic.
Personally I like it better with a tighter crop in portrait orientation. The tighter crop makes the person more of a focal point, and the portrait mode allows all of the foreground and sky details to be kept at the same time. It also has the benefit of being more of an "accepted" format (but that shouldn't really matter) and it makes the "leading lines" in the image a bit stronger.
All just my opinion....
